Dịch vụ này được thiết kế để giải quyết các thách thức bảo mật đặc thù của môi trường OT (Operational Technology), nơi các hệ thống điều khiển công nghiệp (ICS/SCADA) đòi hỏi tính sẵn sàng cao và không thể bị gián đoạn.

Dịch vụ FortiGuard OT Security mở rộng khả năng bảo mật của FortiGate-50E để hiểu và bảo vệ các giao thức và thiết bị OT/ICS nhạy cảm:
- Nhận diện và Hiển thị OT: Cung cấp OT Dashboards và Báo cáo Tuân thủ chuyên biệt, giúp quản trị viên có cái nhìn sâu sắc về các thiết bị và giao tiếp công nghiệp. Dịch vụ hỗ trợ Phát hiện Ứng dụng và Dịch vụ OT (như Modbus, DNP3, Siemens S7) một cách chính xác.
- Bảo vệ Chủ động: Cung cấp Chữ ký OT (OT Signatures) chuyên dụng cho Application Control và IPS, cho phép FortiGate-50E không chỉ nhận diện mà còn ngăn chặn các cuộc tấn công khai thác lỗ hổng nhắm vào các giao thức công nghiệp.
- Vá lỗi Ảo (OT Virtual Patching): Đây là tính năng cốt lõi. Trong môi trường OT, việc cập nhật phần mềm hoặc vá lỗi là rất khó khăn và tốn thời gian. Virtual Patching cho phép FortiGate-50E bảo vệ các thiết bị OT dễ bị tổn thương bằng cách chặn các gói tin độc hại nhắm vào lỗ hổng đó, mà không cần phải can thiệp trực tiếp vào thiết bị OT.
