Dịch vụ FortiGuard IPS cung cấp một lớp bảo vệ chủ động, vượt trội so với tường lửa truyền thống. Nó liên tục được cập nhật các chữ ký tấn công mới nhất từ FortiGuard Labs, cho phép FortiGate-80E nhận dạng và chặn lưu lượng truy cập có chứa mã khai thác lỗ hổng (exploit code) nhắm vào hệ điều hành, ứng dụng và giao thức mạng. Việc kích hoạt dịch vụ IPS này giúp doanh nghiệp "vá lỗi ảo" (Virtual Patching) cho các hệ thống chưa được cập nhật bản vá chính thức, đảm bảo khả năng phòng thủ liên tục và hiệu quả trước các mối đe dọa.

- Ngăn chặn Xâm nhập Chủ động (IPS): Chủ động quét lưu lượng mạng và chặn các cuộc tấn công khai thác lỗ hổng trước khi chúng có thể gây hại cho hệ thống.
